Canning is an important, safe method of food preservation if practiced properly. The canning process involves placing foods in jars and heating them to a temperature that destroys microorganisms that could be a health hazard or cause the food to spoil.
Is Canning and Preserving are same?
Canning is a method of preserving food by processing the fruits or vegetables and then sealing the fresh foods in airtight containers. “Processing” is a method of cooking the food before sealing it in glass jars. The process of canning effectively sterilizes the bacteria that normally can cause spoilage.
